  • Cable logging and helicopter logging systems and training
  • Minimizing environmental impacts of logging operations, e.g. streamside management
  • Forest engineering, e.g. road construction and maintenance and drainage structure design
  • International research projects in Chile, Bolivia, New Zealand and Austria
  • Woody biomass harvesting and transport logistics for bio-energy
  • Improving value recovery and marketing in hardwood harvesting operations
